We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. For Senders
4.1 Creating Shipments
When creating a shipment, you must provide accurate information about the contents, weight, dimensions, and destination of your package. You are responsible for ensuring your items comply with customs regulations of both the origin and destination countries.
4.2 Prohibited Items
You may not ship items that are illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by applicable laws and customs regulations. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

4.3 Payments
Payments for shipments are processed through our secure escrow system powered by Stripe. When you book a shipment:
- Your payment is held in escrow by our payment processor (Stripe) until delivery is confirmed
- Funds are released to the Provider only after you confirm delivery
- If delivery is not confirmed within 7 days of the Provider marking it as delivered, funds may be automatically released
- A platform fee of 5% is added to the Provider's quoted price
- Optional insurance (3% of shipment value) is available at checkout
- All payments are processed in USD unless otherwise specified
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. BarrelDrop does not store your complete credit card numbers. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
4.4 Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued in cases of failed delivery, confirmed disputes, or violations of these Terms. Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of BarrelDrop based on the circumstances of each case. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
5. For Providers
5.1 Verification
Providers must complete our verification process, which includes identity verification and, where applicable, business license verification. Providing false or misleading information during verification is grounds for immediate termination.
5.2 Service Obligations
As a Provider, you agree to:
- Provide accurate quotes reflecting your actual service pricing
- Handle packages with reasonable care during transport
- Provide timely status updates and maintain accurate tracking information
- Upload photo proof of delivery upon completing a shipment
- Respond to Sender inquiries in a timely manner
- Comply with all applicable shipping laws and customs regulations
5.3 Provider Payments
Providers receive payment after delivery is confirmed by the Sender. Payments are processed via the provider's connected payout account. BarrelDrop deducts its platform fee before disbursing funds.
6. Escrow & Dispute Resolution
Our escrow system is designed to protect both Senders and Providers:
- Senders can dispute a delivery within 48 hours of the Provider marking it as delivered
- Providers can escalate unresponsive delivery confirmations after 7 days
- BarrelDrop's support team will review disputes and mediate between parties
- Final dispute resolution decisions are binding on both parties
7. Fees & Pricing
BarrelDrop charges a platform fee of 5% on each transaction, which is added to the Provider's quoted price and shown clearly at checkout. The app is free to download and there are no subscription fees. Optional shipment insurance (3% of shipment value) is available and clearly disclosed before purchase. All fees are displayed transparently on the booking confirmation screen before you complete payment.
